Crypto Scams, Copyrighted Brainrots, and Pibble Belly Memes
September was another slow month for news, but the stories that did land were big ones. A fake Steam game called BlockBlasters scammed players and streamers out of more than $150K in crypto, and Tung Tung Tung Sahur was pulled from Steal a Brainrot after copyright drama. Police confirmed that Celeste Rivas’s body was found in artist D4vd’s car, sparking heavy speculation online, while TikTok had a softer moment as crochet made a full comeback with Gen Z. Pop Mart also revealed the exclusive Myaku Myaku Labubu figurine dropping at the Osaka Expo, and on the meme side we got the wholesome “I am Pibble, wash my belly” trend alongside the new 93 slang number meme. Here’s the full September recap:

BlockBlasters Steam Scam
BlockBlasters launched on Steam on July 31, 2025 as a free-to-play 2D platformer. As G Data Security reported, the game initially functioned normally, and early players did not encounter malicious behavior.
That changed on August 30, 2025, when the developers pushed an update that secretly delivered malware. According to The Escapist, the patch installed hidden files capable of stealing Steam logins, browser information, and cryptocurrency wallet data.
One of the most high-profile victims was Latvian Twitch streamer Raivo “RastalandTV” Plavnieks. While livestreaming, he downloaded BlockBlasters and lost more than $32,000 in crypto linked to his wallet. Tom’s Hardware highlighted that the money was part of funds raised for cancer treatment, making his case one of the most publicized losses.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur Copyrighted
Tung Tung Tung Sahur is a viral TikTok meme that was first posted in late February 2025, combining Indonesian culture with AI Italian brainrot. The character was created by TikTok User Noxa (@noxaasht) and is now officially copyrighted. In September 2025, Momentum Lab, the agency representing Noxa, confirmed the copyright and described Tung Sahur as intellectual property.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur was removed from the Roblox game Steal a Brainrot on September 13th, 2025, by the game’s developer, Sammy. According to a statement from Momentum Lab, Noxa and their team did not ask for the removal and were waiting to hear from Sammy’s lawyer. Know Your Meme states that anyone who owned the character in-game received a Gangster Footera as a replacement.
Tung Tung Tung Sahur has been copyrighted along with Udin Din Dun and Garamara. They are listed on Momentum Lab’s site, which shows they are also officially recognized. Since Sahur was already removed from Steal a Brainrot, it’s possible these two could face the same outcome in the future.
D4vd Case
15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been missing since April 2024, was found dead in the trunk of a Tesla registered to artist D4vd. According to NBC Los Angeles, the vehicle had been sitting in a Hollywood tow yard for several weeks before the body was discovered on September 8, 2025.
Law enforcement has not released a cause of death, but AP News and The Guardian report that the LAPD is treating the case as a homicide investigation. Police also served a search warrant at a Hollywood Hills home connected to D4vd and seized several electronic devices as potential evidence.
D4vd has not been publicly named as a suspect, and police have not shared any information about his potential role in the case. As of now, no charges have been filed.
Gen Z Crochet Trend
Crochet is having a full revival as the Gen Z crochet trend has started taking off on TikTok and Instagram. Crochet aligns with everything Gen Z cares about in 2025, like sustainability, individuality and finding creative DIY ways to express personal style. They don’t just make plain blankets or scarfs, Gen Z crochet plushies, custom tops, flower bouquets, bucket hats, bags, and anything else that fits their style. The rise of Y2K and retro fashion trends has helped boost crochet’s popularity, but it’s also just another creative outlet for people who want to make things that feel unique.
Collectibles
September also brought some big updates in the collectibles world.
On September 22, 2025, Calico Critters collaborated with UNIQLO as part of their UT graphic tee lineup. The collection features character prints from Sylvanian Families on 100 % cotton T‑shirts for both kids and adults. Designs include icons like Freya Chocolate Rabbit, themed cottages, and group arrangements drawn from classic catalog art.
Calico Critters, also known as Sylvanian Families in Europe and Asia, are collectible miniature animal figures with detailed clothing, homes, and accessories. According to the official Calico Critters site, the line was first launched in Japan in 1985 and continues to expand with new characters and sets each year.
The newest drop in Pop Mart’s Labubu “The Monsters” lineup is the Myaku Myaku Figurine, releasing on October 1, 2025. It retails for 4400 JPY at the Osaka Expo 2025. It is very difficult to acquire, as you must physically attend during the dates of Oct 1~11 and is via a lottery system.
September Memes
The two best memes of September 2025 were the I Am Pibble TikTok of a cute dog getting his belly washed and the 93 slang meme, which is trying to be the next big number trend after 41 and 6 7.
The I Am Pibble Wash My Belly meme is a video of a cute dog, with a distorted voice saying “I am pibble, wash my bellay” while the dog lies on its back getting water on its tummy. It’s going viral on TikTok because people are making cute videos of their dogs with the sound and creating animated versions.
93 is the newest number meme. It has no meaning, no backstory, and no reason to exist other than trying to copy the success of 6 7 and 41. So what does 93 mean? It means nothing. It’s basically just a knockoff 6 7, but it’s still early and could take off.

August Skibidi News Recap
Labubu Drama, Therapist TikToks, and Fruits Eating Themselves
August wasn’t a super crazy month for news, but a few stories definitely blew up. Pop Mart sued 7-Eleven over fake Labubus, and the 24K Gold Labubu lady sparked backlash after posting a KSI Labubu TikTok that was called out for blackface. A lady named Kendra went viral for posting a series about falling in love with her psychiatrist, and Ashley Barnes posted a two-part apology for her party controversy. A focus app by Hank Green with a knitting bean somehow became the number one app in the country, and people started changing their profile pics to Clippy as part of an online protest. Also, AI-generated fruits started eating themselves and went weirdly viral. Here’s what went down:
- Pop Mart sued 7-Eleven over fake Labubu dolls, and a TikToker got called out for blackface after uploading a “KSI Labubu” edit
- Kendra dropped 20+ videos about catching feelings for her psychiatrist, and the internet is not on her side
- Ashley Barnes posted a two-part apology and said she has receipts, but didn’t address the worst parts of the drama
- Focus Friend, an app with a knitting bean, passed TikTok and ChatGPT to become the number one app in the US
- Louis Rossmann launched the Clippy profile pic protest and now everyone’s switching to the Microsoft paperclip to fight back against Big Tech
- Freaky Fruits started trending on TikTok after people used AI to make fruit eat smaller versions of itself in creepy ASMR edits

Labubu Lawsuit and the KSI Labubu Controversy
In a bold legal move, Chinese toy giant Pop Mart has filed a federal lawsuit against 7‑Eleven Inc. and several of its California franchisees, accusing them of selling fake Labubu dolls (“Lafufu”). The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, alleges trademark infringement, copyright violations, and unfair competition.
The heart of the case? 7‑Eleven stores were allegedly selling counterfeit toys that mimic the distinct look and packaging of Pop Mart’s massively popular Labubu collectibles. From near-identical fonts to box art and color schemes, the “Lafufu” toys were designed to trick customers, especially in the blind box culture where authenticity is everything.
The month got messier after a TikToker known as the 24K Gold Labubu lady posted a video showing a black-painted Labubu she called “KSI Labubu.” People quickly accused her of blackface and clout-chasing. She deleted both the video and her apology.
Lady Who Fell in Love with Her Psychiatrist
Kendra, who is a woman going viral on TikTok (@kendrahilty) for her multi-part storytimes about allegedly falling in love with her psychiatrist, has released 25 parts so far and is still updating the series, with her most recent video being posted today. She describes about three years of monthly Zoom sessions where he listened without interrupting, stayed calm when things got personal, and gave just enough back that she started to think there was something deeper between them.
Kendra accidentally revealed her psychiatrist’s name to be Irfan during one of her storytime TikToks. After that, people started putting pieces together using his name, the ethnicity she mentioned, and other small details she had shared across the videos. Eventually, viewers figured out who he was and began posting about him online. Kendra also told people not to dox him and said she only shared his first name by accident, but at that point, it had already spread.
Ashley Barnes Apology Update
Ashley Barnes was called out earlier this summer after multiple TikTokers shared storytimes accusing her of pressuring people to take substances, ignoring boundaries, and making unwanted advances during a meetup in LA. Some also claimed she misled them about what they were taking and tried to stop them from leaving.
On August 15, she posted a two-part apology video saying she had been in rehab and was struggling with her mental health. She admitted to some mistakes and claimed to have receipts that could clear her name but said she wouldn’t post them out of respect for others’ privacy. Public opinion has been fairly mixed since Ashley Barnes posted her apology. While some viewers praised her for opening up and taking accountability, others felt she avoided the most serious parts of the situation
Focus Friend App Reaches #1
Focus Friend (also known as the Focus Bean app) is a cozy productivity app designed to help people stay off their phones and actually get things done. Here’s how it works: you start a focus session, set your phone aside, and your bean begins happily knitting. The longer you stay off your phone, the more progress your bean makes. But if you pick up your phone or exit the app early, the knitting disappears and your bean looks visibly disappointed.
In August 2025, the Focus Friend app officially became the #1 most popular free app in the United States, ranking above TikTok, Gmail, and even ChatGPT. So how did a little knitting bean outpace the giants of tech? It’s the perfect storm of timing, design, virality, and vibes.
Clippy PFP Protest
The Clippy profile pic movement started on August 7, 2025, when YouTuber and consumer rights advocate Louis Rossmann uploaded a video titled “Change your profile picture to Clippy. I’m serious.” The video gained over 2 million views in just four days and quickly spread across platforms like Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
In the video, Rossmann calls out disturbing practices by tech companies. One key example comes from whistleblower testimony that Meta tracks when teen girls delete selfies and uses that behavior to serve them beauty ads. Rossmann connects this to broader concerns about modern surveillance tech.
He then contrasts this behavior with something much more innocent: Clippy, the old Microsoft Office Assistant. He says Clippy never tried to manipulate users or harvest their data. He just wanted to help with your Word document.
Freaky Fruits Meme
In August 2025 AI videos of Freaky Fruits Eating Fruits are going viral on TikTok. The videos are of various AI fruits eating smaller or cut up versions of themselves. These Fruits Eating Themselves ASMR videos actually started to surface in July 2025, but they didn’t blow up until weeks later when TikTok’s algorithm started pushing them hard.
TikTok is now flooded with weird fruit edits, each one freakier than the last, apples with creepy faces chewing on apple slices or bananas chomping on mini bananas. The Fruits Eating Fruits videos are going so viral because people think it’s funny and honestly just so random. The crunchy little ASMR sounds make it even better, and for some reason TikTok always eats up fruit trends. First it was Glass Fruit Cutting and now it’s AI Fruits Eating Themselves.
August’s Skibidi Verdict

August wasn’t a super crazy month, but the internet still gave us plenty to talk about. The Labubu lawsuit made headlines early in the month, and Kendra’s therapist story kept getting more intense with every new video. Ashley Barnes returned with a two-part apology after weeks of silence, and Hank Green’s cozy productivity app somehow became the number one app in the country. People started switching their profile pics to Clippy as part of an online protest, and AI-generated fruit started eating smaller versions of itself in weird little ASMR edits. Tune in again next month for the September Skibidi News Recap!
July Skibidi News Recap
Trisha Paytas’ 3rd Baby, Bop House Drama, and the VShojo Fallout

July was kind of a slow month overall, but the few stories that landed were massive. From Trisha Paytas naming her new baby Aquaman to Sophie Rain leaving the Bop House, there were still plenty of moments worth talking about. Here’s everything that actually went down:
- Trisha Paytas announced the birth of her third baby, and the internet went crazy with reincarnation theories after Ozzy Osbourne’s passing
- Sophie Rain confirmed she’s out of the Bop House, and fans started speculating the whole group might be done for good
- Ironmouse left VShojo after leaked DMs, charity drama, and a bunch of VTubers quitting
- Ashley Barnes was called out after former friends shared storytimes describing sketchy and uncomfortable experiences, with some accusing her of straight-up inappropriate behavior.
- The Burger King Foot Lettuce guy passed due to health issues
- Grok AI dropped “Ani,” a virtual anime girlfriend with outfits, affection sliders, and NSFW mode
Read more about each July news story below.
Trisha’s Baby Is Named Aquaman… and People Think It’s Ozzy Osbourne Reincarnated
On July 22, 2025, Trisha Paytas posted a TikTok video introducing her third child to the world with the caption: “💙AQUAMAN MOSES PAYTAS-HACMON HAS ARRIVED 💙 07.12.25”. She thanked fans for the well wishes and said the name guessing videos made them feel loved.
As soon as Trisha Paytas revealed her new baby’s name, Aquaman, the reincarnation theories flooded in. This time, fans claimed her child was the reborn spirit of legendary singer Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away on July 22, 2025. The theory instantly went viral across TikTok and X, but here’s the kicker: Trisha gave birth to Aquaman on July 12, a full ten days earlier. So unless her baby traveled backward through time, it’s literally impossible.
Sophie Rain Has Left the Bop House, But Is It Actually Over?
On July 21, 2025, Sophie Rain officially confirmed she left the Bop House in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly. “The Bop House will always be a huge part of my life,” she said, “but lately, I’ve felt like I was losing my own voice inside of it.” She called the house controlling, with certain members trying to dictate how she should act, post, and live.
The official Bop House TikTok account @bophouse posted a video featuring Camilla, Julia, and Aishah, where the three addressed the rumors about the group ending. They said that while things have changed, the Bop House isn’t breaking up, and Sophie Rain’s departure doesn’t mean it’s over. In fact, they explained that the group is moving forward and will soon be holding auditions to bring in new members. For now, the Bop House is still alive and heading in a new direction.
Ironmouse Leaves VShojo and VTuber Drama Explodes
VShojo was never meant to be just another VTuber agency. Launched in 2020 by Justin “Gunrun” Ignacio, it promised something radical: a “talent-first” space where streamers actually owned their avatars, their content and identity. The name VShojo is a mashup of “Virtual” and “Shoujo,” meaning “virtual girl.” For a while, its premise worked. Founding members Ironmouse, Nyanners and Projekt Melody weren’t just talents, they were the face of a new era.
Now, in 2025, that era may be coming to an abrupt end. In just a few weeks, VShojo went from respected pioneer to full-blown cautionary tale. What started with a goodbye video turned into something alot bigger and messier.
- Ironmouse leaving VShojo and accusing them of withholding payments
- Claims of unpaid talent, missing money, and broken promises
- A $500,000 charity donation that still hasn’t reached the cause
- Kson, Zentreya, Projekt Melody all walking away from the agency
- A CEO livestream where VShojo Japan admitted U.S. funds may have “disappeared”
- Legal experts now warning: this could end in lawsuits or even shutdown
Everything Else You Missed This Month
Alex, known as the Burger King Foot Lettuce guy, passed away on July 10. Fans first heard the news through his Discord, and a GoFundMe later confirmed he died due to health issues and personal struggles. Tributes poured in across TikTok and Reddit.
Grok’s new anime chatbot Ani launched this month and instantly blew up. She’s got affection sliders, custom outfits, and a full NSFW mode that unlocks the more you chat. People are calling her the “AI waifu of the year”, and not in a good way.
Ashley Barnes was accused of seriously inappropriate behavior by creator Brad Mason, who posted a 9-part TikTok storytime about a trip she invited him on. He said she pressured people, crossed lines with guests, and acted in ways that made everyone uncomfortable. The allegations are based on his videos and are still being discussed online.
July’s Skibidi Verdict

July was a pretty slow news month ngl. I was nervous at first when Sophie left the Bop House. From there it felt like it might actually be over, but it’s not ending so I’m happy. Trisha had baby Aquaman, and he’s so adorable. Even though his name is a little out of pocket, it’s kind of a slay. As for Grok AI… yeah, I’m still grossed out that I had to download it (my Skibidi boss made me). It’s a waifu chatbot with NSFW mode. I hate it here. Anyway, the news this month was slow, but pretty chill.

New Gen Z and Alpha Slang (October, 2025)
Slang | Meaning |
---|---|
Chuzz | Chuzz is one of those Gen Alpha roast terms that sounds made-up but hits way too hard. It’s short for “chopped huzz”, basically calling someone ugly in a wild, exaggerated way. Most often dropped in party chats, Discord calls, or TikTok comments when someone’s going full roast mode for no reason. It’s petty, unserious, and 100% Gen Alpha. |
Clanker | Originally a *Star Wars* insult for battle droids, “Clanker” is now Gen Z’s favorite word to roast glitchy AIs and humanoid robots like Tesla Bot. It blew up in July 2025 as a meme for mocking any malfunctioning automation or creepy synthetic voice. |
CYSSYM | CYSSYM is from a Gordon Ramsay TikTok where he reacts to someone aggressively tossing and slapping a steak like he’s Salt Bae. Ramsay shouts, “Can you stop slapping your meat?” and the Gordon Ramsay CYSSYM original video has been meme’d years later. |
DPWYMLT | DPWYMLT comes from a TikTok where Gordon Ramsay reacts to someone tossing around a raw steak like it’s a toy. He says, “Don’t play with your meat like that,” and the Gordon Ramsay DPWYMLT original video became slang after resurfacing. |
IKIAB | IKIAB stands for “I Keep It A Buck”, and it’s basically Gen Alpha’s way of saying “I’m about to be real with you.” It’s used right before dropping the truth, especially when it’s blunt, harsh, or brutally honest. You’ll see it in TikTok vids and comment roasts where someone’s not sugarcoating anything. Just facts. |
IKIAG | IKIAG stands for “I Keep It A Gurt”, Gen Alpha’s upgraded way of saying “I’m gonna tell the truth” but with dysfunction. It’s for when someone’s being brutally real, with full confidence and no filter. Think “I Keep It A Buck,” but with extra nerve. |
Melt Maxxing | Melt Maxxing is the ironic Gen Alpha answer to the glow up grind. Crossed eyes, tucked chins, and derpy expressions that mock obsession with looks. It’s anti-aesthetic and fully satirical, spreading as a meme on TikTok in 2025. |
SMAWYLBB | SMAWYLBB is one of the newest Ramsay acronyms. It comes from a 2025 TikTok where Gordon reacts to someone overhandling lettuce. He says, “Stop messing around with your lettuce big boy,” and it instantly became slang. The Gordon Ramsay SMAWYLBB original video is linked above. |
SPWYS | SPWYS comes from a Gordon Ramsay TikTok where he reacts to someone wrapping a cheesy hotdog in bacon. Ramsay says, “Kid listen to your dad, stop playing with your sausage,” and the line stuck. The Gordon Ramsay SPWYS original video is now a TikTok cult classic. |
YBMW | YBMW is from a Gordon Ramsay TikTok where he reacts to someone pouring molten lava on a hotdog. In horror, he yells, “You burnt my wiener!” It took a few years, but the Gordon Ramsay YBMW original video finally blew up and became meme slang. |
🥀 Wilted Rose Emoji | used to show soft sadness, broken vibes, or dramatic feelings. Perfect for edits, heartbreak posts, and poetic captions. |
