Italian Brainrot Zombies is the newest horror meme trend where Italian Brainrot characters turn undead. First rising in late May 2025, edits featuring Tralalero Tralala to Tung Tung Tung Sahur have taken over TikTok with a scary zombie invasion.
What Is Italian Brainrot Zombies?
Italian Brainrot Zombies Are Undead Versions of You’re Favorite Italian Brainrot Characters

Italian Brainrot Zombies — also known as Horror Brainrot or Italian Brainrot Nightmares — is a new part of the wider Italian Brainrot universe. In this version, the characters are transformed into terrifying zombie-like versions of themselves with scary voices.
Instead of the usual strange AI voices, these zombie edits feature characters saying their names in deep, demonic tones. Tralalero Tralala and Tung Tung Tung Sahur now sound like possessed creatures from a haunted multiverse. The visuals usually include heavy glitches and feel very eerie giving it a full horror vibe.
Every video is a slightly different take: some lean into jumpscare territory, others focus on atmosphere, but all of them turn the original brainrot formula into something darker and scarier than ever before.

Italian Brainrot Zombies Started Taking Off in Late May 2025

While there have been many eerie Italian Brainrot TikToks floating around since April 2025, nothing captured the full horror potential of the characters until late May. That’s when a video titled “Brainrot: Zombie | Teaser” was posted to TikTok — and everything changed.
The video, posted by creator @sliro.a, shows multiple Italian Brainrot characters reimagined as full horror zombies. The visuals are glitch-heavy, the voices are slowed and deepened into demonic growls, and the music feels straight out of a horror game, which is exactly what HorrorTok is all about.
As of the beginning of June 2025 the video has over 28 million views. At the end, it tells viewers to check the longer version in the creator’s TikTok bio, hinting at a full-length horror project or brainrot short film.

BRAINROT ZOMBIE: Survivors

This follow-up video from @sliro.a expands the world of Italian Brainrot Zombies even further. Unlike the teaser, this one includes new characters like Bri Bri Bicus Dicus and Glorbo Fruttodrillo, who are shown running, fighting, and in some cases, transforming into zombies themselves. The horror visuals and narrative give it a more cinematic feel.

@polemat4 takes the sound from the original video and gives it their own creepy spin. There’s no single focus — a bunch of different Italian Brainrot characters show up zombified, edited to look extra haunted. You’ll spot familiar faces like Frulli Frulla, Brr Brr Patapim, and more — all looking like they just crawled out of a cursed AI TikTok timeline. It sticks close to the horror vibe without going too extreme, but definitely adds its own flavor to the trend.
Italian Brainrot Zombies Nightmare Edition

@tungtungtiktoks dropped this spin-off using the same sound as the original, but the edit hits different. A bunch of brainrot characters get the nightmare treatment — including Blueberrini Octopussini and Lirili Larila. Everyone looks zombified and corrupted, with glitchy edits and creepy zoom-ins that lean hard into the cursed horror vibe. It’s giving haunted TikTok core without overdoing the jumpscares.
Italian Brainrot: Horror Remix Edition

This one by @aitrendradar is a more lowkey take on the trend. It uses the original horror sound but only shows a handful of zombified characters before it cuts. Some of the ones featured include Spioniro Golubiro and Chimpanzini Bananini. The editing style is still spooky — lots of slow zooms and filter distortions — but feels more like a teaser than a full horror short. It still manages to capture that Italian Brainrot nightmare energy in just a few seconds.
Italian Brainrot Zombies Overview

Italian Brainrot Zombies — also called Horror Brainrot or Italian Brainrot Nightmares — is the latest way TikTok is evolving its most viral characters. By taking the goofy, Italian Brainrot universe and flipping it into horror edits, creators have given the meme a dark, haunted remix.
What started with one teaser video has now turned into a growing genre of cursed zombie content. Characters like Blueberrini Octopussini, Spioniro Golubiro, and Chimpanzini Bananini are now being reimagined with scary filters, deep-voiced growls, and glitchy, disturbing visuals. It’s still brainrot — just from the undead side of TikTok.
Whether it’s full-on horror edits or creepy atmosphere loops, the Italian Brainrot Zombies trend proves that even the weirdest meme characters can get zombified. And we’re here for it.
