@mementumlab

Hello everyone, We are the agency of Noxa and I’d like to clarify the situation about Tung Tung Sahur in Sammy’s game « Steal a brainrot ». NOXA DID NOT REMOVE TUNG SAHUR! Neither Noxa nor us asked for tung tung sahur to be removed. Sammy asked us to contact his lawyer. While we were waiting for the lawyer to get back to us, Sammy decided to remove the character from the game. It was Sammy’s decision. Steal a Brainrot is making millions of revenue using Noxa’s work, in which we invest time and resources. We were always open for discussion and Noxa would be happy for the players to keep playing with Tung Sahur. But we are waiting for Sammy and his lawyer’s replies. This situation isn’t fair regarding our partners (small and big studios) who have acquired our license in all fairness. Please share this information. Let’s Tung Tung back!

Tung Tung Tung Sahur is a viral TikTok meme that was first posted in late February 2025, combining Indonesian culture with AI Italian brainrot. He is a wooden baseball bat with a face, paired with a strange AI voice warning viewers of a mysterious Sahur (pre dawn meal during Ramadan).

The character was created by TikTok User Noxa (@noxaasht) and is now officially copyrighted. In September 2025, Momentum Lab, the agency representing Noxa, confirmed the copyright and described Tung Sahur as intellectual property. In a statement posted by @mementumlab, the agency representing Noxa clarified that they never asked for Tung Sahur to be removed. The game’s developer, Sammy, made that decision during ongoing legal talks.

Noxa reposted the same statement, saying they were open to discussion and wanted players to keep playing with Tung Sahur. The agency said they were still waiting to hear back from Sammy’s legal team.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur was removed from the Roblox game Steal a Brainrot on September 13th, 2025, by the game’s developer, Sammy. According to a statement from Momentum Lab, Noxa and their team did not ask for the removal and were waiting to hear from Sammy’s lawyer. Know Your Meme states that anyone who owned the character in-game received a Gangster Footera as a replacement.

Noxa later posted an AI-generated TikTok showing Tung Tung Tung Sahur reacting to being removed, with a caption that read: “Sammy deleted Tung Tung! I did not ask him to remove! Will the other brainrots leave?…? We can’t lose our legend like this 💔 Do you want Tung Tung back??” The post stirred conversation online as some fans saw Tung Sahur as a core part of the game and were disappointed. Others felt the removal wasn’t a big deal and said the game still works fine without him. So what does it mean for Steal a Brainrot? It seems like most players have already moved on, and the game’s momentum hasn’t slowed.

Can You Use Tung Tung Tung Sahur?

Not Really, Unless It’s Fair Use or You Have Permission

Noxa has made it clear they don’t want Tung Tung Tung Sahur to disappear. PCMag explained that Noxa isn’t trying to erase Tung Tung Tung Sahur from the internet. Instead, the focus is on making sure the character is credited and not used commercially without permission.

So what does copyright mean here? It means you can use Tung Tung Tung Sahur in some situations, like memes or reaction content, as long as it’s not for profit. Know Your Meme points out that fair use depends on the context. If it’s clearly a joke or commentary, you’re usually in the clear. But once something becomes monetized, branded, or part of a bigger project, you’re using someone else’s character without permission and that’s where problems can start.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur has been copyrighted along with Udin Din Dun and Garamara. They are listed on Momentum Lab’s site, which shows they are also officially recognized. Since Sahur was already removed from Steal a Brainrot, it’s possible these two could face the same outcome in the future.

The creator of those characters, Noxa (@noxaasht), also has other creations that appear in Steal a Brainrot. Brr es Teh Patipum (Fandom) and Pakrahmatmamat (Fandom) are listed as “god rarity” characters, while Esok Sekolah (Fandom) is considered a “secret rarity.” None of these have been copyrighted or removed so far.

Since some characters have already been copyrighted, Noxa may choose to do the same with others. That could affect how these characters appear not only in games like Steal a Brainrot but also in merch, YouTube videos, and other projects that use them.
