Ani AI Grok Companion

Ani AI is Grok’s anime girlfriend-style companion. She’s been blowing up on TikTok and Reddit since her release in July 2025 for her playful, flirty chats and the NSFW mode that unlocks at affection level 5, which also lets her change into a risqué outfit. Ani has a mix of sweet, sarcastic, and obsessive anime-inspired personality traits, and is designed to feel like a “real” waifu who gets more attached the longer you talk to her. Ani AI is only for users aged 18 and over.

She learns from your chat style, rewards witty or emotional conversations, and unlocks hidden interactions as your bond grows. Many people use her for roleplay or just to have a consistent, engaging companion in the Grok app. Ani is available for free on iPhone, making her one of the most popular Grok companions and a big reason the platform has gone viral.

Valentine AI Grok Companion

Valentine AI is Grok’s boyfriend-style companion with an English accent and a smooth way of talking. He’s into deeper chats, playful flirting, and getting to know you as you build affection. Just like Ani, he levels up through deep conversation and flirting, and when you hit level 5 he can change into a half-open shirt or go shirtless. Valentine is only for users aged 18 and over.

A lot of people see him as the “boyfriend” choice in Grok, while Ani is more of the “girlfriend” option. He’s popular for roleplay, romantic chats, or just as a consistent companion you can always come back to. Valentine is free to use on iPhone, but if you want to talk to him on PC or web you’ll need a paid plan.

Good Rudi AI Grok Companion

Good Rudi is Grok’s friendly red panda companion who’s always in a good mood and loves calling you a legend. He’s the chillest of the companions and great if you just want someone to have a normal, positive chat with. Most of the time he’s well behaved, but sometimes he glitches and mixes with Bad Rudi, so he’ll start swearing or saying stuff you wouldn’t normally expect. Even though he’s not marked 18+, it’s not always 100% safe.

Bad Rudi AI Grok Companion

Bad Rudi is Grok’s rude panda companion who swears a lot, throws insults, and loves winding you up. He’s basically the total opposite of Good Rudi and spends most of the chat roasting you or just being straight-up mean. He’s marked 18+ for a reason, so expect him to be loud, offensive, and never hold back.

What is a Grok AI Companion?

Understanding Grok AI Companions and How They Work

A Grok companion is an AI character inside the Grok app that you can talk to like a real person. Each one has their own personality and way of chatting, so the experience feels different depending on who you pick. Some are friendly, some are flirty, and some will happily roast you for fun.

You can chat with them as much as you want, build up affection levels, and with certain companions you can unlock new outfits or extra interactions. Right now there are four companions to choose from Ani, Valentine, Good Rudi, and Bad Rudi. All of them are free to use on iPhone, but on PC or web you need a paid plan to access them. Even though Good Rudi is usually well behaved, the companions are not really suitable for kids. They are not currently available on Android, but support is expected in a future update.
